My love for technology came when I had just graduated with a Bachelor's degree in science and had no idea what my next step would be. My boyfriend suggested I learn how to code during my spare time, and I haven't looked back. The variety of technologies will surely keep my days interesting throughout my career! My favorite technology to work with is React. Who knew that a library could be so much fun! It is so easy to reuse components because of its modular nature, and it is quite easy to learn. My favorite part about working for Jonah is the people. With varying levels of experience and interests, it is so easy to learn something new from my coworkers every single day. There is nothing like working with people who inspire you to become a better developer. One of the reasons I love this industry is the number of things to be learned. Challenges that leave me thinking "Hmmm... Interesting" and make me realize I have yet another thing to master are my favorite because they keep me on my toes. I love drawing and painting. This past year, I've started doing drawings of my friends and family to commemorate special events in their lives (i.e., getting married, buying a new house, having a baby) – it's been fun to give such personal gifts! A personal accomplishment I'd like to share is that in the past few months, I've purchased my first house. There's no feeling like owning a home - let the projects begin! Favorite keyboard shortcut: Command + Z, so I can quickly reverse any mistake I make and pretend they never even happened Most interesting place you've ever travelled to: I've only ever left Canada once, and it was for my trip to Iceland. Such a beautiful country with such unique landscapes. We rented a car and drove around, staying at amazing little Airbnb's all around. I dream of going back, but in the summer this time! Favorite song to code to: Anything by Lana Del Rey – her chill vibes help me stay cool headed, even while debugging the most frustrating of bugs! Favorite go-to lunch spot: Wilbur's – their Cali burrito is amazing.
