I've always had a passion for design and technology as far back as I can remember. You could always find me playing video games or de-constructing how things worked. As young adult, I grew up displaying my digital art work at art shows and selling pieces. Project management also came naturally to me, so my career eventually transitioned from graphic designer to PM. I have led projects at some of the high-ranking advertising agencies in Toronto, working closely with international brands and even an account manager at times. Over time I felt the need to broaden my skill set, and sales and marketing felt like a natural progression. I have formal training in Media Arts/ Communications and was hired immediately out of school. I went on to work while continuing formal education in Digital Design/Programming, as well as Project Management. Having worked my way through the ranks at various companies, I've gained a deeper understanding of marketing best practices, down to the intricate nuances that can make or break a project. I understand clients, the customer journey, business needs, and most importantly, the psychology of sales and marketing. One of my favourite technologies that I have worked with in the past is Maya. You can create an endless world of realistic possibilities through detail, lighting, and textures. However, if we're going really super cool, augmented reality combined with machine learning & artificial Intelligence excites me. Blurring the line between virtual and real life through AR & ML/AI will open new opportunities in every industry. I look forward to combining my sales and marketing insights with these influential technologies. It will bring a whole new world to branding and storytelling! I like working for Jonah because there is room for growth and everyone is open to ideas. If you can justify a new concept with some evidence and/or good reasoning, you will most likely win your case. Jonah allows me to be creative and think outside the box. I love it when a project starts with a simple seed, requiring full team collaboration from various departments at various stages, and the outcome/ feedback reaches well beyond our initial expectations. I like to call those "home runs." I have a constant and deep hunger for home runs, and it's that passion that drives me to win! Outside of work, I love watching documentaries and reading the latest developments in Quantum Mechanics and Neuroscience. I usually have some type of creative project in the works during my spare time. Favorite keyboard shortcut: ctrl + C and ctrl + V - it speeds up everything! Most interesting place you've ever travelled to: Maui. I swam in the ocean with turtles, rode a helicopter over eye-catching waterfalls, climbed a volcano, explored a rainforest, saw wild horses run on the beach, and witnessed gorgeous sunsets … sheer paradise! Favorite go-to lunch spot: Dessert Lady (1 Sultan Street, Toronto). The food is incredible, and the Chef is super talented. Notable accomplishment: I continually try and put myself in uncomfortable situations. An example of this is when I try and challenge my fear of heights: ziplined 1000 ft. across an escarpment, walked a treetop forest canopy (600 meters across 10" wide airborne walkways strung between a web of platform decks), rode the Behemoth at Wonderland (3 minutes of pure torture), and walked the swaying Capilano Suspension Bridge!
