Dealership Enrollment, Management, and Administration Application

The Problem

RouteOne® was in the process of launching the first release of their Credit Aggregation System (CAS) to a Pilot group of dealers. The goal was to distribute the dealership boarding / enrollment / management processes so that dealers could self-register their dealership and financial sources. A standardized multi-user workflow process was established in order to configure, approve and activate the dealer in the system.

The Jonah Group was asked to deliver our full suite of software development services to bring the new functionality to fruition in a short period of time. The application was also to act as a proving ground for a number of experimental technologies with which RouteOne was not yet familiar, but wanted to pursue in their overall architecture. The Jonah Group was entrusted with investigating and implementing these technologies, deploying them into an enterprise-level production environment.

Unique Challenges, Solved.

  • Standards-based, open-source technologies and design patterns were chosen to fit with the company's existing software development style. This increased the speed of development substantially.
  • Jonah's implementation of the new J2EE microarchitecture caused the lead architect at RouteOne to solicit impressions / best practices from The Jonah Group, in an effort to deploy the new architecture across the full application.
  • Jonah helped in the transition from a proprietary, legacy security framework to some simple APIs for accessing / updating the LDAP profile database directly.
  • Jonah successfully delivered the software products over many iterations, and continues to be engaged by RouteOne, having become one of the company's trusted technology partners.
