Major health management organization goes live. Jonah successfully completes Phase 2 Release 1 of FARE a health care data warehouse for Blue Care Network (BCN) of Michigan.
Toronto, Ontario/Detroit, Michigan, December 3, 2008 - The Jonah Group has successfully delivered another release of FARE a health care data warehouse and business intelligence solution that enables Blue Care Network (BCN) of Michigan, a major health management organization to effectively analyze and balance financial and operational data across multiple subject areas.
The project consisted of designing and implementing a health care data warehouse used by all areas of the organization for decision support, trend analysis and ad-hoc querying and reporting covering areas such as Claims, Billing & Finance, Medicare, Membership and Providers.
The Jonah Group was responsible for full data warehouse project life cycle development and implementation including: analyzing, designing, building the data model, designing the batch schedule and the building of the Extract, Transfer and Load (ETL) programs for all of the analytical data stores. Jonah has also created a series of business intelligence reports which replaced and enhanced the existing reports.
Prior to the FARE data warehouse BCN used the Facets system to record and manage their claims, billing, finance, membership, group, provider and capitation information and of the Enhanced Reporting Architecture (ERA) system for producing operational and analytical reports as well as invoices and letters.
Blue Care Network of Michigan is a nonprofit health maintenance organization owned by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan with nearly a half million members. BCN invests primarily in preventing illness and injury, covering preventive services and health screenings and providing educational materials to help their members learn how to maintain and improve their health.
The Jonah Group has been working together successfully with BCN since 2002, and continues to be engaged with them on various important initiatives.
