Jonah invited to begin "Federated Builder" SOA certification process
Large health insurance company engages trusted vendors in extensive certification initiative

Detroit, January 6, 2006 - Our client has undertaken a major new initiative known as the Common Services Project to implement a J2EE-based Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) which will provide common reliable services to numerous applications across their enterprise. They have decided to partner with a number of trusted IT Service Providers for the development of some or all of these services to achieve optimal performance with respect to resource requirements and long-term cost efficiency.

To coordinate service releases with the larger enterprise and maintain visibility and control over Vendor performance and overall software quality, a "Federated Build" model has been instituted, which mandates automated testing, continuous integration, and a PM framework within 120 day release cycle.

Certification under this initiative is a 3-stage process. The Jonah Group has passed the RFI stage and has been invited for in-depth questions as a part of the 2nd stage of the initiative.
