Our Values

Our values are at the heart of our company culture. They inform how we hire, communicate, deliver, engage with clients, and operate our business, and we work hard to promote them internally wherever possible.

For example, our standards documents always begin with value statements as they relate to that particular standard. We celebrate people that embody them by recognizing them during town halls. And we evaluate team members annually on these value categories.

We hire smart technologists with an aesthetic for elegance, simplicity, and the intrinsic beauty of the "perfect fit". Even if it takes a bit longer, or if the results will only be visible in the long term, we value doing things right. We aim to step into your shoes, learn what beautiful means to you, and project that into a beautiful custom solution.

One major implication of this is that we favour generalists with a solid theoretical background as opposed to specialists with a narrow technology focus. Generalists tend to be better at custom work because they embrace the novel challenges associated with a custom solution domain. Specialists tend to hide from problem areas that don't match their particular area of expertise.

A Beautiful Mindset can be encouraged, but it can't really be taught -- it's usually reflective of the individual's own mindset.

Great design makes for superior solutions, pure and simple. Sloppiness in the user experience is irksome, and in the architecture it can be deadly.

Your tools should never be an obstacle to the completion of your work or the promotion of your brand. Our group tackles problems that require both a great UX and effective technology.

Our designs promote adoption, engage users, simplify workflow, and are a joy to use. But we're also hardcore technologists - we know how to design and build a solid internal foundation deep in the code. Extensible, re-usable, robust, secure and scalable code is our primary artifact.

Great Design is incredibly important to us, and you’ll find it in every solution we create.

Though we are a technology company, we remain technology agnostic when it comes to designing our solutions.
